Jane grew up along the mighty Mississippi River in Dubuque, Iowa. She studied Political Science, Global Resource Systems, and Sustainability at Iowa State University, and was heavily involved in Iowa politics and advocacy. After graduation, she moved to St. Louis in 2017 to join the AmeriCorps St. Louis Emergency Response Team Year 24!
Prior to serving, she worked for her local Parks & Recreation, where she discovered her passion for public lands and local government. Her favorite hobbies are volunteering, caring for stray cats, yoga, making candles, and researching social media trends (aka spending too much time on TikTok!).
