Fundraiser for New Tech!
Our computers and network are outdated and have become unbearably slow – slow enough to hinder the effectiveness of our program’s ability to get things done quickly and efficiently, which is imperative to disaster response. We are in great need of new desktops, laptops, phones, and wireless network. Sadly, none of these things come cheap! Our goal is $3,000. Check out our technology fundraising page to learn more!
Winter Warming Shelter
Our shelter is funded solely through charitable donations.
Please consider making a monetary donation to be used towards heating and water bills, new sleeping cots, etc.
For a list of needed in-kind donations, please check out our Shelter page.
Fire Helmet Fundraiser
Thanks to all the people who donated and helped spread the word about this fundraiser, we raised $1,575 for 30 new fire helmets! Now every member of the ERT has a brand new helmet! We are all very excited. Again, thank you to everyone who donated and shared our story. We couldn’t have done this without you!
Share The Warmth Fundraiser
On the beautiful evening of November 10, 2015, AmeriCorps St. Louis hosted the 6th annual Share The Warmth fundraiser. We had a fantastic turnout with a huge variety of prizes and over 15 different chili recipes for our guests to try and vote on for our chili cook-off! Most importantly, we raised $3,092 for our Winter Warming Shelter! A highlight of the evening was being introduced to Ray Harter, an engineer with Civil Design, Inc. Ray introduced us to the president of his company, Vicki LaRose. Together, Ray and Vicki connected us with a contractor, Greg Zuzack of Landco Construction, who, in turn, introduced us to John Krauska from Kent Plumbing, Inc. We were absolutely delighted to find out that the three companies are working together to install our FIRST-EVER shower for our shelter!!! Also, Crescent Plumbing Supply is donating all the shower stall material! Thank you to these wonderful people – we are thrilled to offer this new service to our shelter guests this winter!
