City-Wide Service Team Year 18

Chelsea Bodamer – 1st Year Member

Age: 24
Hometown: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Education: University of Pittsburgh – Bachelors Degree in Media & Professional Communications with a Certificate in Digital Media
Resume Highlights: Carousel Operator, Project Assistant at an advertising firm – Fireman Creative, Intern at Pittsburgh City Council, AmeriCorps member with Environmental Corps in Austin, TX
Favorite AmeriCorps moment: My favorite AmeriCorps moment was traveling to the Guadalupe Mountains during my time in Texas. During our assignment, our crew spent nearly a month camping throughout the Mountains. It is one of the most beautiful, and peaceful, places I have had the opportunity to spend time.
Why did you join: After spending four years hitting the books, I was eager to gain hands on skills and experience the Country. I joined ACSTL specifically because after working alongside the program in Joplin, MO, I just knew it was where I needed to be.
Favorite Project: All of them! Each project is unique.
Future Plans: Graduate School
Hobbies: Yoga, reading, cooking, photography, enjoying the great outdoors, and listening to music

“I am blessed to be a part of this “AmeriFamily”. I can’t think of a more motivated, selfless, and courageous group of individuals to serve and grow with.”

Favorite Project: Serving at the Warming Shelter my first year was an amazing experience, but having the opportunity to coordinate it as a Member of CST has been truly unforgettable.
