City-Wide Service Team
AmeriCorps St. Louis provides opportunities for community service not only for its full time Members, but for anyone with the desire to serve. Through the City-Wide Service Team, large-scale projects are designed to assist a variety of community and faith-based organizations.
Partnering with other local non-profits, including the United Way of Greater St. Louis, and the Office of Mayor Francis Slay, our team has facilitated:
- The Winter Overflow Warming Shelter that served over 1000 guests and 2600 meals
- St. Louis Serves Day that engaged over 400 volunteers across 22 service projects across the city
- MLK, Jr. Day of Service that engaged more than 300 volunteers distributing compact fluorescent lightbulbs to over 5000 households.
- Joining Hands in the Heartland that collaborated with organizations and individuals from throughout North America to provide over 28 appliances to 14 families affected by disaster throughout Missouri.

The AmeriCorps St. Louis Coordinated Service Team (now City-Wide Service Team) receives the 2011 MLK Service Award from the Missouri Community Service Commission.
