Volunteer with AmeriCorps St. Louis
See the need. Meet the need.
AmeriCorps St. Louis depends on volunteers to provide critical services to our community. You can help by getting involved with one of our service opportunities!
Joplin, MO Tornado Recovery
The damage that occurred in a matter of minutes will take years to repair. Over 5000 homes, local businesses and public buildings were destroyed or heavily damaged. Join us by spending a week or a weekend in service to the survivors of the Joplin tornado.
Done-in-a-Day Volunteering
AmeriCorps St. Louis provides a wonderful opportunity for community members and families to volunteer for the day and serve alongside AmeriCorps Members. Throughout the year, AmeriCorps St. Louis hosts many service projects across the city to help support other non-profit organizations, improve schools and clean up the environment. Check back here for volunteer sign-up information closer to the event dates.

Winter Warming Shelter
During the winter months St. Louis faces a shortage of shelter housing. For the last two years AmeriCorps St. Louis has partnered with The Winter Outreach Group to open our doors as an emergency winter warming shelter when the temperature falls below 20 degrees. The shelter is facilitated by the Coordinated Service Team, which serves out of the Office of Mayor Slay in City Hall. However, we can’t run it without help from our volunteers.
